All in a day's work

Very early start today but even earlier for my wonderful flower boy (hubby) Carl. He was up at 5am to deliver wedding flowers to Eaves Hall then came home to get me up so we could pack the van and set off at 7am to another wedding in Buxton. This afternoon I'll be starting on all the Valentines orders. No rest for me just yet!!

Valentine's Day

So who is feeling romantic this year?
I love red roses but they are always expensive for Valentine's Day. Growers all over the world have to meet the demand for red roses for February 14th. They have to concentrate all their time and effort into producing enough of the best quality roses and then of course they all have to picked, packed and shipped. No wonder then that red roses are so expensive.

I have ordered lots of red roses ready for the orders to come pouring in over the next few days. So it's not too late to get your loved one something special for Valentine's Day. Ring me on 01772 866171. We are delivering on Sunday so what better surprise for your beloved.

But if the budget won't stretch to red roses (and supermarket ones just don't cut the muster with us ladies!) then a beautiful bunch of flowers is still the next best thing and needn't cost the earth. You can also add on a bottle of wine or champagne when ordering online.

Here are a few of my favourite bouquets that I've made in the past.....

Floral arch

I've just received this stunning picture of a floral arch I did up in the Lake District just after Christmas.

Charlie and Paul got married in the beautiful village of Grasmere. The week before the Church had been caught in the terrible floods and the inside was about 6 inches in water.
Luckily all was well for the lovely couple's wedding.
